Helmet

Helmet rose to fame on the strength of its 1992 debut, 'Meantime,' plus hits with the soundtrack cuts 'Just Another Victim' (from 'Judgment Night') and 'Milquetoast' (from the soundtrack to 'The Crow'). Frontman Page Hamilton and his relatively new lineup bring to the stage the same brand of "thinking person's heavy metal" that earned the band their place in head-bangers' collections long ago.

Weedeater

Rock,Alternative,Metal

Like a big puff of smoke from a stranger, Weedeater is a swirling, evolving mystery. At least they're a unique take on stoner metal with tunes that bathe and battle your eardrums with doomy, heavy rock. Simple, groovy sludgy and dark the band formed in Wilmington, NC. Their Southern roots show in their attitude, their sting on Southern Lord Records and their album titles ("And Justice For Y'all"). It's a mix of humor and anger that runs this band, theyre aggressive but always entertaining and interacting with the crowd.

Rumors of involvement in the mystical arts helped create a mysterious image, and they found success in 2002 after joining the Ozzfest Tour. In 2010, Otep was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for "Outstanding Music Artist" for the album 'Smash the Control Machine' during the 21st GLAAD Media Awards.

The Alarm

Rock

The Alarm, formed in 1977, stormed out of Wales in the early '80s, full of bluster and brashness and bombast (they matched U2's energy as an opening act on the "War" tour) and a self-titled I.R.S EP in 1983 with the anthem "The Stand." They folowed that with the smash anthem, "Sixty-Eight Guns." The original lineup broke up in 1989 and re-formed in 2004 ... just in time for singer Mike Peters to be diagnosed with leukemia the following year. He's overcome that after much chemotherapy and treatment, and still fronts the band.
