One of the rare comics who does not abuse foul language, he grew up the son of a preacher and that background continues to influence him today. Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 standup comedians of all time, Sinbad is also well-known to audiences from his stints on TV (including "A Different World" and "The Sinbad Show") and in films (including "Jingle All the Way," "Houseguest" and more).

Witt Lowry

Rap/Hip Hop

Connecticut-born rapper Witt Lowry (Mark Richard Jr.) started his hip-hop career as a joke -- he entered a small talent contest, and his friends put the word out on Facebook, and he killed it -- but soon took it seriously. After graduating from Springfield College, he couldn't find work in his chosen field, graphic design, so he plunged into the music. Several videos on YouTube have garnered him tens of thousands of subscribers and millions of viewers. In addition, he released an EP and has followeed it with three full-length albums; the latest, "Dreaming With Your Eyes Open," was released on iTunes in the fall of 2015.

Judah & the Lion

This genre-bending, Nashville-based Americana band describes its music as folk-hop, but their sound is a bigger melting pot than all that. Years before coming together, the band members grew up in separate corners of the U.S., listening to every type of music that came their way: the twang of folk, the beat of hip-hop, the drive of rock'n'roll, the punch of pop. Later, after college brought all four musicians to Tennessee, it only made sense to combine those different backgrounds — and different sounds — together. They made national waves with their 2014 debut album, "Kids These Days," and on their second full-length album, 2016's "Folk Hop N Roll," the band shone a light on the place where their influences overlap. It’s a wide-ranging sound, with fuzz bass, hip-hop percussion, distorted banjo riffs, and super-sized melodies all stirred into the same mixing pot.
