Fort Worth Audubon Society (FWAS) Meeting-Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, 10:00AM-Victor Emanuel-One More Warbler: A Life With Birds-Lecture and Book signing Join the Fort Worth Audubon Society (FWAS) for a fascinating presentation as Victor Emanuel, one of America’s foremost birders, recalls a lifetime of birding adventures, including friendships with luminaries Roger Tory Peterson, Peter Matthiesen, and George Plimpton. Victor’s memoir ONE MORE WARBLER: A LIFE WITH BIRDS shares his journey from inspired youth to world’s top birder including his biggest adventures, rarest finds, and the people who mentored and encouraged his birding passion along the way. Books will be on sale for $25 and there will be a book signing after the meeting. A light continental breakfast will be served. The meeting will start at 10.00AM in Room 100 on the lower level of Research and Education Building, UNT Health Science Center, 3500 Camp Bowie Blvd. (at Montgomery St.) Use parking Lot 6 on Clifton St. For additional information and directions log on the to the FWAS website at www.fwas.org. Victor is a recipient of the Roger Tory Peterson Award from the American Birding Association and the Arthur A.
